ABSTRACT
It is one of the geopolitical and geostrategic importance settlements Maraş and Elbistan for Seljuks and Anatolian history. Elbistan most time management as a separate administrative unit in Maraş, live the struggle for dominance in the region and because of that away. Governors would administrated the Maraş descendant Hasan’s but Elbistan’s generally managed the Seljuk dynasty rulers. Göksun, Afşin, Pertus, Dülük, Raban, Tel-Bâşir and Derbsuk (Darb-Sâk) area located around Elbistan such as including localities and regions castles. This region has been ruled by important dignitaries from the Seljuk amirs such as Mübarizüddin Çavlı, Amir Buldacı, Amir Alâmeddin, Amir Felekeddin Halil, Amir Seyfeddin Ebubekir Candar, Amir İlyas, Amir Hüsameddin Yusuf and Kemaleddin Kâmyâr. This amirs and governors who makes prosperous Elbistan and surrounding settlements and immortalized their names with the construction activities. They hit the Turkish Islamic stamp to northeast Mediterranean and Anatolia. This study about actions of some Seljuk emirs and governors who served in Elbistan.
